Happy New Year!

What a year, I can't believe it is almost 2009 and our little Claire Bear will be here soon!! a little over 2 months(but who's counting?) We made it through Christmas!! The drive was not as bad as I thought it was going to be, so that was good. We had a great time with Matt and Desi ( although I was hoping little Landon was going to make an appearance that weekend but not so much luck) and it was very nice to stay and spend time with Mitch's Dad and Vicki and of course Bosco! And Pigeon Forge was perfect! The weather was so nice we love warm weather and it was definitely that the whole time we were there. We got to spend time with my Aunt Cindy, Uncle Ron, Cousin Ian, Jamma and Popop, Cousin Chloe, Brad, Danielle, and My Parents! It was a full house!! But we had a lot of fun, and did a lot of shopping! :o) And now is time for me and Claire to recuperate!! I had a bad spell of acid reflux on vacation which wasn't fun, I couldn't sleep which I am beginning to have problems with anyway. I slept on the recliner last night because I couldn't get comfortable in our bed.......but I got some sleep which is good. I went to the doctor this morning and I had mentioned that Claire's movements have slowed down a bit, which I thought was because she is getting bigger. The doctor did a non-stress test just to make sure everything was going OK, and everything was fine. My Uterus is measuring 32 instead of 31 which is a little bit ahead. So they suggested I walk or do some activity to get her going and it will help me too! I am going back next week to have another stress test just to make sure everything is still going good. I have a feeling I will feel as if I live in Wooster or should pretty soon since I will be going there more, but whatever I have to do to get this little girl I will do it! I'm ready for her and I think Mitch is too, he's had me start packing the hospital bags already! He say that he wants to be ready no matter what! He thinks she is going to be early like I was, he is calling Valentines Day but I don't think it will be that early! Who knows this girl already goes to the beat of her own drum, I just hope she is happy and healthy! Have Safe and Enjoyable New Year!!! I know where we will be.........on the couch and asleep! :o)

No surgery until 6 months!

I talked to Dr. Seitz's nurse at Cleveland Clinic tonight and found out some information about surgeries for Claire, which I am relieved to know! We had wanted to meet with Dr. Seitz before she is born but the nurse said since they can't really evaluate anything until she is here that we might want to wait until she is 1 month old. She was going to ask Dr. Seitz if he wanted to meet with us before and let us know sometime this week. She also informed me that there will be NO surgery until she is at least 6 months old, which was why we wanted to meet with him before hand. So that means depending on when she is born that surgery probably won't be until the middle of September. I'm relieved because I thought it would be 3 months and that just seems so small to have surgery. The nurse was very nice and seemed easy to work with so I am hoping that Dr. Seitz's practice is going to be a great experience. I know I said I wouldn't update until our next appointment but I figured that was kind of important information. Merry Christmas everyone!

Glucose is good!

My doctor's office called today and my glucose levels were good! I am very happy about this but I am slightly anemic so the nurse was going to talk to my doctor and see if they want to put me on an iron supplement. So now I just have to wait to see what they want to do but I'm happy I don't have to have my blood drawn again! :o) So now I can focus on our traveling and Christmas. I hope that everyone has a great Christmas and Happy New year! I probably won't update until next doctor's appointment which is December 30th. Have a safe Holiday week!

Hello Third Trimester!!

OMG has time flown by or what?? We are 28 weeks pregnant only 12 more weeks to go. This past weekend we had our childhood education classes at Wooster hospital. It was a good experience for both Mitch and I. We got to take a tour of the hospital and we were very impressed with the nurses and the Rooms! I think we are both more excited( if that's possible)! The nursery is really coming together. SO now we just have to wait........no fun! She's getting bigger everyday and is still very active! I had a doctor's appointment today, I had to take the glucose test to see if I have gestational diabetes. The drink was not horrible it was getting my blood that wasn't fun. It took 4 pokes for them to get me and I started getting light headed. It was a timed test so they had to get the blood within 5 minutes or redo the whole thing, so No pressure there! Luckily they did get it in time, so I'm waiting for results and I am hoping that we are ok. I should know sometime on Wednesday and I will post it on the blog. The appointment other than that went great! Claire's heartbeat was 149-152 and she had her little bum sticking out for the doctor when she measured me. Our appointments are every 2 weeks now so that must mean we are getting close! Although our next appointment is 3 weeks because of our Christmas Vacation but that's ok! The baby shower date has been decided it will January 17th at my mom's house. Invitations are in the process and should be out by Monday hopefully. Other than that I am feeling pretty good, my back is starting to hurt a little bit but nothing horrible and sleeping is getting a little more difficult but it's nothing I can't deal with and I can't complain too much.

Thanksgiving and Nursery!

Our Thanksgiving was absolutely wonderful! It was fun to see the D.C. gang( Aunt Connie, Uncle Ed, Brad, Danielle, and Chloe). The trip there was not horrible, and I did it! We stopped a few times to pee and stretch my legs although the last 2 hours I was ready to be there already! I'm hoping the Christmas trip will be nice since we are stopping in Cincy to see Matt and Desi and who knows maybe Landon! Thanksgiving Day was spent at Aunt Connie's and Uncle Ed's and it was great! Claire enjoyed all the food and her cousin! Of course we went Shopping the next day for Black FRIDAY! Mom and I may have gone a little bit too early because I was extremely tired by the end. Saturday we came home and we had a pretty good trip back, there was a lot of traffic but nothing horrible. Sunday Mitch and I went and got our changing table/Dresser at Babies-r-us so we are in the process of getting the nursery together!!! I have a place for clothes!! So I'm excited to have it look like an actual room!! It's getting more real and we are definitely getting more excited at each day comes and goes. I'm sure it will be even more real after this weekend because we have our birthing classes! I'm a little bit nervous but I am happy to be getting it done and be prepared. We have less than 100 days until we meet our little girl, which seems so soon! This whole process has flown by which is great because Mitch and I are both very excited! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

25 WEEKS AND COUNTING!

So here are so pictures that I promised I would put up. Whoa Claire! I'm feeling pretty pregnant and wondering how much bigger I will get?? Haha I'm guessing it will be interesting to see what happens.

I had a Doctor's appointment today and everything is looking good. Claire's heartbeat was 155 bpm and she's a mover and a shaker! My next Doctor's appointment I get to take the glucose test for gestational diabetes and anemia. I had mentioned to the doctor that I had been feeling tired lately and they told me to take naps and eat more protein. I'm hoping that I am not anemic but we will deal with that when the time comes. I got the OK for traveling for Thanksgiving and Christmas they just told me to make frequent stops and walk around. I think Mitch and I can handle that hopefully. I'm hoping to get the nursery taken care of this weekend, if the weather is cooperative. I wanted to go down to Polaris and get our dresser/changing table so I can organize the nursery. Little Claire has things adding up in there and I want to have it organized to a point. We have about 3 1/2 months left until we get to meet our angel and we are both very excited to meet her!

Home....again but not for long!

So miss Claire and I are quite the travelers, Cincy last weekend then from Monday to Sunday we were in D.C. meeting Chloe Alexis Rose, who is one of the best babies and cutes niece ever! She was so good I'm hoping that Claire will be as cooperative but I'm thinking we will not be that lucky. The trips were really not too bad, so I'm not worried about Thanksgiving or Christmas traveling. I am going to the Dr. tomorrow afternoon and will update how that visit goes, I think it will just be finding the heartbeat and measuring my tummy. Nothing fun but that's ok, I think we have had our share of fun. Claire is definitely getting bigger by the day! You can feel her positioning and it is really cool, Mitch LOVES it. It just keeps getting more real as each day goes by, and especially after seeing Chloe! :o) We are getting Closer a little over 3 months and our Claire Bear will be here~!

Cousin #1 is almost here!

Hello Everyone i just thought I would give a little update of how things are going here in our LIVES it's getting CRAZY!!!! My brother's wife (Danielle) was induced today with their first lil girl! and the first of the cousins!!!! Now we get to play the waiting game.......it's not fun! This weekend Mitch and I are going to Cinci for Desi's baby shower, and we will be able to spend time with mitch's side of the family, which will be nice. We are coming home Sunday and then I will be leaving with my parents to go to D.C. to see the new Kell clan! We will be staying there until Sunday! I had to change my Dr. Appt for the 12th to the 18th, because I like taking someone with me to my appointments. Since my doctor is a 45 minute drive away and I have a hard time when they take blood, so I take someone just incase. Claire is a very active little girl, the other day Mitch felt her kick for the first time. His face was priceless! She is active all day long! She likes to wake mommy up around 6 in the morning, so I've been taking naps the past few days. I think it's starting to hit us more each day that this is real and we are going to be parents to a little girl!! We are very excited, for us and everyone else! Next is Landon, then Braydon and it's a toss up for all the March babies!(There is 3 with in a week of each other) I think I'm going in February but we will see when that time gets here. Mom and I have been talking about my shower and we are thinking it is going to be January 17th. But we have some time before we need to know for sure! 23 weeks and counting time is definitely flying by and I am sure with the holidays coming up it will be January before we know it! I hope everyone is doing well and I will update after my next doctor's appointment! Who knows maybe I'll take a picture and put it up next time :o)

Baby Shower!

We had the baby shower at Tracy's this past Saturday for Desi, Heidi, and Me. It was very nice to see everyone and we got some wonderful stuff! Claire is going to be one of the best dressed kids! We are very greatful for everything we got :o) It's hard to be able to get everyone together but it is so nice when we can! This will be the last time Mitch's mother's side of the family will all be together since Desi won't be traveling for the holidays. We got some pictures of the shower, especially the picture of the 3 preggo's. The picture above is right to left, Desi who is due Januarary 10th, Heidi who is due Feburary 12th, and Me Due March 3rd. The big thing now is if we will all make it to our due dates or go late, who knows? The time is getting closer, Sometimes I want it to be March already and other times I'm like OMG it will be here soon are we ready??!! I guess we have to be ready we have no choice. All I know is that Baby Kell aka Lil Lady is coming soon and I can't wait for the first of the cousins to be here! The holidays are going to be so much fun with all these little ones running around! Ok now I need to rest after all the excitement from this weekend :o)

No More Akron, until she's born!!!

NO MORE AKRON, until she's born! Although we did love the doctors and people there we are happy to know that we are staying at Dr. Shriners in Wooster. We had another ultrasound today while we were in Akron and Claire was not being very cooperative. She was sleeping and didn't want to be messed with and we were laughing. They couldn't get a good like at her right foot, she wouldn't have it but everything looked pretty much the same as last week. It looks like we have 2 fingers on each hand and 3 toes on the left foot and 2 on the right. But we won't know FOR SURE until she gets here! They gave her a clean bill of health so we just have to watch the hand and feet. Her heatbeat was 154 and hearing that she is healthy otherwise made both of us feel good. The doctor's recomeneded a surgeon at Cleveland Clinic so we have to do some research and possibly meet him before she was born. But before she is born there really isn't anything they can do. So we don't know about how early they will do surgeries, Akron said 3 to 6 months was normal. Akron Childrens can't do anything else until she is born, so they geneticist wants us to come visit after she is born and we feel comfortable traveling. We are both relieved to be able to deliver in wooster and I really love my doctor so I'm happy too.
On another note, we got the crib this week and put together! The nursery is starting to come together although we still have a bit to go until she gets here! Is is March yet??? haha We can't wait to meet Clair!! We both love all the ultrasounds we've had because we get to see her and she's adorable! She definitely has a personality already! We just have a few more things to get to complete the nursery. We are registered at Target and Babies-R-Us we have a joint baby shower for mitch's side of the family this weekend for Desi(matt's wife), Heidi(bryan's Girlfriend), and me! So many babies in so little time! Mom and I are planning my baby shower for Januarary, we aren't sure on which saturday but probably the last two. Once we decide I will let everyone know, my next doctor's appointment is Novermber 12th so I will update again then unless something else comes up before then :o)

She's our angel :o)

We went today to Akron for a more in depth ultrasound to see what's going on with Claire. Here is what we found out, one foot is split, one foot is missing a few toes, and her hands have atleast 2 fingers, she keeps them in fists and we weren't able to tell if she doesn't have those fingers or just keeps them curled up. Other than that she is a very healthy baby weighing in at 12 ounces. We went into this knowing what was possible and ofcourse you pray and hope for it to be all okay, but in the long run it is okay. She has a strong heartbeat is EXTREMELY active and this is something that she will be able to overcome. The doctors at Akron Childrens Hospital wanted to set up a game plan for next week, so thursday we are going up there to get our game plan with the team of doctors. There is the possibility that I may be going up there for now on but we won't know until Thursday. Mitch is doing really well, and I started to cry when I saw the first foot, but then I thought to myself we knew what we got into, and we are going to love this little girl so much, and that things could be worse. She is our little angel, our gift from god, and she will be amazing. We have a great family support system and some of the best doctor's. We were both very impressed with Akron and I'm willing to drive as far as I have to, so we have the best care. We will just hope she isn't born in the back of the car like me~!

It's still a girl! :o)

Claire is still a claire! We went to the doctor's office in Wooster this morning. We had a bit of a mishap with the scheduling of the ultra sound but we got it resolved. It was definitely an interesting morning! Everything looks pretty good she has a strong heart beat and weighs about 11 ounces. We go to Akron tomorrow to figure out if she does have her fingers and toes. They thought that one foot may have been split, so we will know for sure hopefully tomorrow. Other than that she is one active little thing! rolling and punching and kicking and not cooperating~! We are extremely excited and love getting to see her. I scanned some of the pictures that we got today they weren't as good as the ones in columbus, o well it's just fun to see her! I will update tomorrow on how our trip to Akron goes.

It's a ......................... GIRL!!!!

So we went today to find out the sex of the baby! I had a pretty good feeling it was a girl and so did Mitch and it is! We are very excited and can't wait for her to get bigger. She is definitely a little active thing! She played peek-a-boo and likes to punch and kick and suck on her hand. Which looked like all the fingers were there the sonographer said that she counted five fingers up to the knuckles. She had her hands in fists the eintire time, so we will know for sure the 16th when we go to Akron. We have a name atleast the first name, Dad asked us to use Claire if it was a girl since that was his mom's name. We couldn't say No so we are thinking Claire Katherine Richey but the middle name is not set in stone yet. We are just excited to know that she's healthy and what it was, NO more guessing! yaay! We are ready to get started with the nursery and to buy as much giraffe stuff as possible! I have a thing with giraffes hence the giraffe and the duck on the nursery wall. I'm almost 18 weeks so almost half way there woohoo. We are both excited and can't wait to meet her and all her cousins!

We can't wait until October 15th!

I went to the doctor today, everything is looking good! My doctor found the heartbeat right away and she said she would bet that it's a girl. But I'm not holding my breath or buying anything until we KNOW for sure which will be October 15th! October 16th we are going to Akron for a high risk ultrasound that will tell us if our baby has all of it's fingers and toes. We are both nervous but excited we want to know what's in there and be prepared for what we need to be prepared for if that is needed. The nursery got an awesome addition this weekend, my Aunt Cindy replicated a picture I had of a giraffe and duck onto some canvas and then onto a wall in our nursery. It looks amazing! Mitch and I keep going in there and looking at it, He's afraid it's going to move walls mysteriously one day, I said if that happens we are moving! I'm starting to feel better I'm still tired, but I think that has to do with my sister-in-law's baby shower this past weekend! It was fun but there was so much to do! I think it is starting to actually feel real that I'm actually pregnant and we are going to have a baby! I've starting feeling the flutters which is pretty cool and I can't wait to actually feel the baby kick! We will keep everyone updated with anything new and before we know it we will know what's in there!

14 weeks!

we are now at 14 weeks and in our second tri-mester! we are both very excited. I had an appointment two weeks ago and it went very well. They couldn't get the heartbeat with a doppler so they did an ultrasound and were able to get a heartbeat at 140 bpm. The doctor kept saying that he/she was moving around like crazy which is good. I haven't been able to feel anything yet, hopefully in the next couple weeks. I have another appointment on September 15th and the appointment after that we will know the sex! I have feeling that will be the second week of October unless they want to do it sooner. I'm starting to feel better and get my energy back! we went to D.C. this past holiday weekend to visit with Brad and Danielle. We wen't to Aunt Connie's on sunday and she brought her doppler home from work and this time we were able to hear the heartbeat! She thought it was in the 160's and Danielle's was in the 150's so both babies had good heartbeats! I will update after our next appointment!

11 weeks!

We are 11 weeks today, how exciting but still scar! I have a doctors appointment on next tuesday when I will be 12 weeks, I think I will be able to relax after the doctors appointment. we are both excited about this new adventure in our life! The irony of our story we had found out we were pregnant at the end of Januarary this year, so we decided we needed to look at a house more seriously. So we put a bid on a house and in that same weekend we lost the baby and the house. We were both upset with both situations, so we took a break on houses for a week or two. then we found a house in ashland that we liked put an offer and it was accepted. After the house inspection it didn't go very well, the house was flipped and the guy that did it, didn't do the best work. So we got out of that house and decided that we still liked the other house in lex and that we wanted to wait and try to get it again. We did!!! and then after all the paint and work we put in to the house we found out I was pregnant!! We had said that it would be funny if we got the house and we found out we were pregnant it would be crazy! This pregnancy has been a completley different pregnancy, I've been sick, tired, cranky haha it's been an experience. Mitch has been really good about making sure I'm ok and he's been great. I promise to keep everyone updated i'm sure I will blog after next dr's appointment. It is exciting stuff plus our little guy or girl is going to have 5 little cousins that are within 6 months of each other!! EVERYONE IS PREGNANT! haha atleast in our family they are!!
