Baby Shower!

We had the baby shower at Tracy's this past Saturday for Desi, Heidi, and Me. It was very nice to see everyone and we got some wonderful stuff! Claire is going to be one of the best dressed kids! We are very greatful for everything we got :o) It's hard to be able to get everyone together but it is so nice when we can! This will be the last time Mitch's mother's side of the family will all be together since Desi won't be traveling for the holidays. We got some pictures of the shower, especially the picture of the 3 preggo's. The picture above is right to left, Desi who is due Januarary 10th, Heidi who is due Feburary 12th, and Me Due March 3rd. The big thing now is if we will all make it to our due dates or go late, who knows? The time is getting closer, Sometimes I want it to be March already and other times I'm like OMG it will be here soon are we ready??!! I guess we have to be ready we have no choice. All I know is that Baby Kell aka Lil Lady is coming soon and I can't wait for the first of the cousins to be here! The holidays are going to be so much fun with all these little ones running around! Ok now I need to rest after all the excitement from this weekend :o)

No More Akron, until she's born!!!

NO MORE AKRON, until she's born! Although we did love the doctors and people there we are happy to know that we are staying at Dr. Shriners in Wooster. We had another ultrasound today while we were in Akron and Claire was not being very cooperative. She was sleeping and didn't want to be messed with and we were laughing. They couldn't get a good like at her right foot, she wouldn't have it but everything looked pretty much the same as last week. It looks like we have 2 fingers on each hand and 3 toes on the left foot and 2 on the right. But we won't know FOR SURE until she gets here! They gave her a clean bill of health so we just have to watch the hand and feet. Her heatbeat was 154 and hearing that she is healthy otherwise made both of us feel good. The doctor's recomeneded a surgeon at Cleveland Clinic so we have to do some research and possibly meet him before she was born. But before she is born there really isn't anything they can do. So we don't know about how early they will do surgeries, Akron said 3 to 6 months was normal. Akron Childrens can't do anything else until she is born, so they geneticist wants us to come visit after she is born and we feel comfortable traveling. We are both relieved to be able to deliver in wooster and I really love my doctor so I'm happy too.
On another note, we got the crib this week and put together! The nursery is starting to come together although we still have a bit to go until she gets here! Is is March yet??? haha We can't wait to meet Clair!! We both love all the ultrasounds we've had because we get to see her and she's adorable! She definitely has a personality already! We just have a few more things to get to complete the nursery. We are registered at Target and Babies-R-Us we have a joint baby shower for mitch's side of the family this weekend for Desi(matt's wife), Heidi(bryan's Girlfriend), and me! So many babies in so little time! Mom and I are planning my baby shower for Januarary, we aren't sure on which saturday but probably the last two. Once we decide I will let everyone know, my next doctor's appointment is Novermber 12th so I will update again then unless something else comes up before then :o)

She's our angel :o)

We went today to Akron for a more in depth ultrasound to see what's going on with Claire. Here is what we found out, one foot is split, one foot is missing a few toes, and her hands have atleast 2 fingers, she keeps them in fists and we weren't able to tell if she doesn't have those fingers or just keeps them curled up. Other than that she is a very healthy baby weighing in at 12 ounces. We went into this knowing what was possible and ofcourse you pray and hope for it to be all okay, but in the long run it is okay. She has a strong heartbeat is EXTREMELY active and this is something that she will be able to overcome. The doctors at Akron Childrens Hospital wanted to set up a game plan for next week, so thursday we are going up there to get our game plan with the team of doctors. There is the possibility that I may be going up there for now on but we won't know until Thursday. Mitch is doing really well, and I started to cry when I saw the first foot, but then I thought to myself we knew what we got into, and we are going to love this little girl so much, and that things could be worse. She is our little angel, our gift from god, and she will be amazing. We have a great family support system and some of the best doctor's. We were both very impressed with Akron and I'm willing to drive as far as I have to, so we have the best care. We will just hope she isn't born in the back of the car like me~!

It's still a girl! :o)

Claire is still a claire! We went to the doctor's office in Wooster this morning. We had a bit of a mishap with the scheduling of the ultra sound but we got it resolved. It was definitely an interesting morning! Everything looks pretty good she has a strong heart beat and weighs about 11 ounces. We go to Akron tomorrow to figure out if she does have her fingers and toes. They thought that one foot may have been split, so we will know for sure hopefully tomorrow. Other than that she is one active little thing! rolling and punching and kicking and not cooperating~! We are extremely excited and love getting to see her. I scanned some of the pictures that we got today they weren't as good as the ones in columbus, o well it's just fun to see her! I will update tomorrow on how our trip to Akron goes.
