False Alarm!!!!

So, we were at the hospital again EARLY Friday morning, but still no Claire. I woke up at 1:00 am on Friday with contractions, I timed them had 8 in an hour, so I called my doctor and they said to watch them for another hour and if they pick up to come to the ER and if they don't just to stay home and relax. Well the next hour I had 9, so Mitch and I grabbed our things and went on our way to the hospital we probably got there about 4:30 am. They took a urine sample, tested to see if my water had broken, and hooked me up for a non-stress test. My water had not broken, and my contractions weren't intense enough for them to keep me. They didn't check to see if I was dilated, but I'm guessing I'm still "closed for business" as the previous nurse on Tuesday stated it. Claire was moving around SO MUCH that they said we definitely didn't have to worry about her movement. I noticed that my blood pressure has gone up significantly, it's usually in the low 120's over 75 and Tuesday it was 130's over 80 and it was 143/84 on Friday morning. Plus I've begun to swell quite a bit which I'm worried about getting preeclympsia, but they didn't say anything at the hospital so I must not be too bad. So we left the hospital around 7 am and got home and went back to sleep. Mitch went in to work late that day, I felt bad because he had to use half a sick day. Around 11 my doctor's office called and Dr.Shriner wants to see me Monday, so hopefully everything will be fine, I'm wondering if she changed my appointment(from Thursday to Monday) because of the swelling and blood pressure, or it could be the two trips to the hospital in a week. I guess I will find out at 1 on Monday, of course my Dad will be going with me in case I get admitted or anything else fun happens! Our time is counting down we are almost to D-Day, and I am hoping that on Monday we find out she has turned so I can stop worrying!! So I will keep everyone posted (if I can) on Monday, I am hoping if I have to me admitted it's on Monday because we are suppose to get another bad snow storm Monday night, Ugh! Let's go Steelers! :o) I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

How to get to the hospital

I figured I would put the directions to the hospital online so that anyone who wanted to get the hospital could when little Claire decides to come. Since we had the excitement on Tuesday I thought that we never know when she is going to come so I should do this now just in case.

Wooster Community Hospital 1761 Beall Ave Wooster, Ohio 44691

Take 71 to Route 30 East towards Wooster. Stay on 30 until you get to the State Route 302 Exit, it is the second exit in Wooster, and there will be a Bob Evans off to your left when you exit. At the light you want to turn right and get in the left lane because the right lane ends. You will follow this road through town it turns into Bever when you get into town. You will follow Bever and then you will turn right onto Clevleand Ave. Follow this road until you get to Winter street you will turn right, across the street is Pam and Bill's Market, so you know where to turn. You will go straight at the light and the hospital will be on your left, you will turn in the second entrance and park. You want to go in the Main Entrance and then go right, the Women's Pavilion will be at the end of the hallway. You should be able to just walk in and either call Mitch or Me or you can go to the Nurses Station and they will help you find us! Just be careful if you Map quest how to get there because Beall Ave is closed almost up to the hospital so the directions I gave are the detour directions. It takes about 45 mintues from Mansfield to the hospital, I know there is Best Western in Down town Wooster if anyone feels the need to stay there, but people are more than welcome to stay at our hosue. We have an extra bedroom and the bird I am sure would love company!

Claire's Dramatic already!

I thought I would update everyone on the exciting night we had last night. I had some pain in my side yesterday and I thought it was maybe Claire trying to turn, but wasn't sure so I called my doctor just to make sure. They wanted me to come to the hospital and do another non-stress test to make sure that everything was ok. So I called Mitch he left work early and we went to Wooster hospital, we got all set up and then we got to wait. Claire moved continuously pretty much the entire time i was hooked up to the machine. She is doing well and her heartbeat and everything looked good, and the nurse thought that she was in the head down position! So I was happy to hear that! Then they noticed that I had 4 contractions in the time that I was there, which was an hour or 45 minutes. So they wanted to check me to make sure I wasn't dilated, which I wasn't, So we got to go HOME! But I have to monitor my contractions and once I get 6 in an hour we have to go back to the hospital. SO I was little paranoid last night but I'm starting to relax more, and of course all this happened when we are getting a snow storm!!! I'm hoping today goes without a hitch since we had 5-8 inches last night and are suppose to get 3-6 more inches by 1 pm today!! We both have a feeling she will be here early but we don't want her here too early!!! Hope everyone is staying warm and not snowed in!

Dr.'s Appt!

I went to the doctor today and found something out that we didn't know. Claire is breech at the moment, Mitch and I hoping we can talk her into turning. My doctor said that at my next appointment (Feb. 5th) if she still is breech we will do an ultrasound and talk about our options. I'm hoping that she turns so we won't have to make a decision on whether to have a c-section or not. I was really looking forward to trying a natural birth, but we will do what we have to. We are thinking positive that she is going to move and hopefully that will help! As for everything else she is doing great!!

The Shower!!!

My Baby Shower was on Saturday at Mom's house, and I really enjoyed seeing everyone. I was happy that everyone braved the cold, and luckily it didn't snow until Saturday night! I've posted some pictures that Joe's girlfriend Krissi took during the shower. Claire received some great gifts!! Mitch and I have been busy putting things together, and reorganizing the nursery! It really looks like a room!!! Now we have to reorganize our room for her bassinet so that she has somewhere to sleep! We are getting closer and closer to our due date! It is very exciting and kind of overwhelming and scary(we are actually going to be parents!) We have close to 6 weeks left, so I'm packing our bags and making sure we are ready!! Who knows when she is going to decide to come! We both have feelings that it will be a little bit early but you never know! I go to the doctor on Thursday for a regular check up. Claire's movement has definitely picked up so I'm more reassured about that. She loves her Daddy, every time he is around she moves a lot! I'm sure our dr. appointment should be quick painless. We are getting close to the weekly visits!!! So I will keep everyone updated if anything out of the ordinary happens on thursday. Again We just want to thank everyone who came to the shower!

Landon is HERE!!!

Well Landon arrived yesterday!! Mitch and I drove down last night so we could see the little guy! We figured this might be last chance to see him before claire comes and he was able to get the day off, so we were off! He is absolutely amazing! Matt and Desi are going to be great parents and they are so happy! We can't wait to see him again but it looks like we won't see him until probably March when our little Claire has arrived. We couldn't be more happy for Matt and Desi and Landon is so precious! Just wanted to share some pictures with everyone!

8 months!!!

Happy 2009! the year of babies!! Chloe just came two months early but I count her anyway! I can't believe we are only 2 months away from meeting our little girl! :o) We are both getting very excited and anxious for her arrival! The nursery is complete for the moment, We have all the bedding set up and clothes put away! My mom has been coming over during her break and helping me get the house ready, which has been nice since i can't bend like I used to! Mitch starts school on Wed. he is only taking 1 class this quarter and it's only one day a week! Hopefully Claire doesn't decide to come on a Wed. We will see though, We have the shower coming up which is exciting to see everyone. As for Claire she is moving and grooving so I am not worried about the stress test on Wed. Sunday night Mitch and I watched Claire move and punch and flip for like an hour strait. I felt like an alien was trying to come out of my stomach! She is definitely letting me know she is in there and doing OK! So now I feel dumb for saying she wasn't moving around because this little girl doesn't stop! Which I am guessing is a look at our future for when she arrives. I can't believe I am 8 months pregnant! This pregnancy has just flown by and I'm glad, but thinking the last two months will be the longest since we are waiting her arrival. I don't think I can get any bigger but I'm guessing I will be surprised. The fun stuff has started, not sleeping well, acid reflux, heartburn, back aches, and the lovely braxton hicks! I am excited for her to be here, and all her little cousins!!
