The Shower!!!

My Baby Shower was on Saturday at Mom's house, and I really enjoyed seeing everyone. I was happy that everyone braved the cold, and luckily it didn't snow until Saturday night! I've posted some pictures that Joe's girlfriend Krissi took during the shower. Claire received some great gifts!! Mitch and I have been busy putting things together, and reorganizing the nursery! It really looks like a room!!! Now we have to reorganize our room for her bassinet so that she has somewhere to sleep! We are getting closer and closer to our due date! It is very exciting and kind of overwhelming and scary(we are actually going to be parents!) We have close to 6 weeks left, so I'm packing our bags and making sure we are ready!! Who knows when she is going to decide to come! We both have feelings that it will be a little bit early but you never know! I go to the doctor on Thursday for a regular check up. Claire's movement has definitely picked up so I'm more reassured about that. She loves her Daddy, every time he is around she moves a lot! I'm sure our dr. appointment should be quick painless. We are getting close to the weekly visits!!! So I will keep everyone updated if anything out of the ordinary happens on thursday. Again We just want to thank everyone who came to the shower!

Landon is HERE!!!

Well Landon arrived yesterday!! Mitch and I drove down last night so we could see the little guy! We figured this might be last chance to see him before claire comes and he was able to get the day off, so we were off! He is absolutely amazing! Matt and Desi are going to be great parents and they are so happy! We can't wait to see him again but it looks like we won't see him until probably March when our little Claire has arrived. We couldn't be more happy for Matt and Desi and Landon is so precious! Just wanted to share some pictures with everyone!

8 months!!!

Happy 2009! the year of babies!! Chloe just came two months early but I count her anyway! I can't believe we are only 2 months away from meeting our little girl! :o) We are both getting very excited and anxious for her arrival! The nursery is complete for the moment, We have all the bedding set up and clothes put away! My mom has been coming over during her break and helping me get the house ready, which has been nice since i can't bend like I used to! Mitch starts school on Wed. he is only taking 1 class this quarter and it's only one day a week! Hopefully Claire doesn't decide to come on a Wed. We will see though, We have the shower coming up which is exciting to see everyone. As for Claire she is moving and grooving so I am not worried about the stress test on Wed. Sunday night Mitch and I watched Claire move and punch and flip for like an hour strait. I felt like an alien was trying to come out of my stomach! She is definitely letting me know she is in there and doing OK! So now I feel dumb for saying she wasn't moving around because this little girl doesn't stop! Which I am guessing is a look at our future for when she arrives. I can't believe I am 8 months pregnant! This pregnancy has just flown by and I'm glad, but thinking the last two months will be the longest since we are waiting her arrival. I don't think I can get any bigger but I'm guessing I will be surprised. The fun stuff has started, not sleeping well, acid reflux, heartburn, back aches, and the lovely braxton hicks! I am excited for her to be here, and all her little cousins!!

Happy New Year!

What a year, I can't believe it is almost 2009 and our little Claire Bear will be here soon!! a little over 2 months(but who's counting?) We made it through Christmas!! The drive was not as bad as I thought it was going to be, so that was good. We had a great time with Matt and Desi ( although I was hoping little Landon was going to make an appearance that weekend but not so much luck) and it was very nice to stay and spend time with Mitch's Dad and Vicki and of course Bosco! And Pigeon Forge was perfect! The weather was so nice we love warm weather and it was definitely that the whole time we were there. We got to spend time with my Aunt Cindy, Uncle Ron, Cousin Ian, Jamma and Popop, Cousin Chloe, Brad, Danielle, and My Parents! It was a full house!! But we had a lot of fun, and did a lot of shopping! :o) And now is time for me and Claire to recuperate!! I had a bad spell of acid reflux on vacation which wasn't fun, I couldn't sleep which I am beginning to have problems with anyway. I slept on the recliner last night because I couldn't get comfortable in our bed.......but I got some sleep which is good. I went to the doctor this morning and I had mentioned that Claire's movements have slowed down a bit, which I thought was because she is getting bigger. The doctor did a non-stress test just to make sure everything was going OK, and everything was fine. My Uterus is measuring 32 instead of 31 which is a little bit ahead. So they suggested I walk or do some activity to get her going and it will help me too! I am going back next week to have another stress test just to make sure everything is still going good. I have a feeling I will feel as if I live in Wooster or should pretty soon since I will be going there more, but whatever I have to do to get this little girl I will do it! I'm ready for her and I think Mitch is too, he's had me start packing the hospital bags already! He say that he wants to be ready no matter what! He thinks she is going to be early like I was, he is calling Valentines Day but I don't think it will be that early! Who knows this girl already goes to the beat of her own drum, I just hope she is happy and healthy! Have Safe and Enjoyable New Year!!! I know where we will be.........on the couch and asleep! :o)

No surgery until 6 months!

I talked to Dr. Seitz's nurse at Cleveland Clinic tonight and found out some information about surgeries for Claire, which I am relieved to know! We had wanted to meet with Dr. Seitz before she is born but the nurse said since they can't really evaluate anything until she is here that we might want to wait until she is 1 month old. She was going to ask Dr. Seitz if he wanted to meet with us before and let us know sometime this week. She also informed me that there will be NO surgery until she is at least 6 months old, which was why we wanted to meet with him before hand. So that means depending on when she is born that surgery probably won't be until the middle of September. I'm relieved because I thought it would be 3 months and that just seems so small to have surgery. The nurse was very nice and seemed easy to work with so I am hoping that Dr. Seitz's practice is going to be a great experience. I know I said I wouldn't update until our next appointment but I figured that was kind of important information. Merry Christmas everyone!

Glucose is good!

My doctor's office called today and my glucose levels were good! I am very happy about this but I am slightly anemic so the nurse was going to talk to my doctor and see if they want to put me on an iron supplement. So now I just have to wait to see what they want to do but I'm happy I don't have to have my blood drawn again! :o) So now I can focus on our traveling and Christmas. I hope that everyone has a great Christmas and Happy New year! I probably won't update until next doctor's appointment which is December 30th. Have a safe Holiday week!

Hello Third Trimester!!

OMG has time flown by or what?? We are 28 weeks pregnant only 12 more weeks to go. This past weekend we had our childhood education classes at Wooster hospital. It was a good experience for both Mitch and I. We got to take a tour of the hospital and we were very impressed with the nurses and the Rooms! I think we are both more excited( if that's possible)! The nursery is really coming together. SO now we just have to wait........no fun! She's getting bigger everyday and is still very active! I had a doctor's appointment today, I had to take the glucose test to see if I have gestational diabetes. The drink was not horrible it was getting my blood that wasn't fun. It took 4 pokes for them to get me and I started getting light headed. It was a timed test so they had to get the blood within 5 minutes or redo the whole thing, so No pressure there! Luckily they did get it in time, so I'm waiting for results and I am hoping that we are ok. I should know sometime on Wednesday and I will post it on the blog. The appointment other than that went great! Claire's heartbeat was 149-152 and she had her little bum sticking out for the doctor when she measured me. Our appointments are every 2 weeks now so that must mean we are getting close! Although our next appointment is 3 weeks because of our Christmas Vacation but that's ok! The baby shower date has been decided it will January 17th at my mom's house. Invitations are in the process and should be out by Monday hopefully. Other than that I am feeling pretty good, my back is starting to hurt a little bit but nothing horrible and sleeping is getting a little more difficult but it's nothing I can't deal with and I can't complain too much.
