November 2nd

Claire right before the first Football game of the YEAR Steelers vs. Titans and she's sporting her Steelers onesie! Daddy wasn't too happy but she has a Browns Cheerleader outfit she will be wearing sunday!
She fell asleep while eating again......I'm sensing a pattern

We FINALLY have a date for Claire's surgery which is November 2nd. It is a monday and will be an outpatient procedure still, so we will have it at Cleveland Clinic Beachwood. They do not know if they will be able to all 4 limbs or not, Dr. Seitz thinks he can do it, but we are just gonna think 3 so if he doesn't get it all done it's ok. The big issue with doing all four is the IV access, so Claire and I will be going up before surgery and have them check out her veins. Fingers crossed she is not like her mommy! We are excited for her surgery but in the other hand nervous. I was hoping that it would be sooner than November but you have to take what they give us. She will definitely be MOBILE(she's mobile now). We decided not to go with the helmet for Claire's soft spot, our other PT told us she wouldn't do it because Claire's wasn't that bad. Her pediatrician was against it too. And she won't have casts for Halloween!! So now I can get her whatever she wants (really whatever Mitch and I want). I bought her a pumpkin outfit on clearance last year and of course it doesn't fit! We are thinking Ladybug for this year, but who knows! We are all just happy to have a date for surgery, Hopefully she will be ready to go by Thanksgiving, because we have a trip to Knoxville to make!

Off the Charts!

Claire had her 6 month check up today and she is off the charts! Weighing in at 20 lb 1oz and 28 1/2 inches long!! How crazy is that?? Everything looks good! She is a healthy baby and got the OK for surgery. Which we still don't know our day but I will let everyone know when we do! She didn't like the shots, but who does? We don't go back until December! When she's nine months!!! Our doctor told us not to do the helmet so I will be doing some research this weekend to see what the pros and cons are for it. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!!

Surgery Update

Happy Girl!
Sleeping while eating her teething biscuit

Our Sleeping angel

I did get my very anticipated call from Cleveland Clinic on Thursday but we have run into some snags. The doctor wanted the procedure to be outpatient and last only 4 hours, when his nurse asked Anesthesiology they say that was not gonna happen. They said either he can split the surgery into two and do them as outpatient procedures or do it as one but keep her overnight and have it at Fairview hospital (associated with Cleveland Clinic). I have a feeling that he is going to do it as one surgery, because at her last appointment he said he wanted to put her under the least they could. So I am waiting to hear back on Tuesday on the decision and then HOPEFULLY we can FINALLY schedule this thing. I am thinking it's going to be October now, but who knows maybe it will be the end of September. Other than that we are having a good weekend, besides the OSU game we are enjoying ourselves. Claire and I are looking forward to daddy being home on Monday!!! We hope everyone enjoys their LABOR DAY!!!

West Virginia Wedding

Fredpa and Chloe
YUM!!! My Hand!!
Uncle Joe and his girls!

Swimming!
Aunt Dani and Claire!

We had so much fun this past weekend! Claire especially because she got to take a dip in the pool and play with cousin Chloe! It was a lot of fun watching the two play with each other! On the trip down I bought Claire some teething biscuits, she ate one in the van and made a complete mess and fell asleep mid snack! She is definitely a funny girl! She loved the pool and thanks to Cousin Chloe walking circles around her, she wants to stand and walk! Yesterday she grabbed onto a basked and got on her knees ready to pull up to stand!!! Ahhhhh! Today she pulled up to standing on her own!!! She is cruising pretty good these days and goes from crawl to sit and sit to crawl. I let her pretty much get into whatever since there is going to be a time when she can't. The other day she was in the living room with daddy and she crawled into the kitchen because I was in there, it was too cute! And she is still talking up a storm!! No teeth yet but we are thinking soon, she keeps rubbing her tongue across her gums so who knows??! I still haven't heard from the Cleveland Clinic, so I will call them today and hopefully be able to set up her surgery! We had Physical Therapy this week along with Chiropractor appointment and massage therapy(the girl has the life). We talked about the dreaded helmet at PT to help with her flat spot on her head from the torticolis. And we decided we are going to do it, it was hard for me since she'll be casts too but we have to do everything we can for her. As far as the torticolis goes it is getting better, but it's not perfect. Claire is definitely keeping me busy!!! She is eating really good I think peas are the only thing she has had that she doesn't necessarily like. She is a plump little thing but has to be for her surgery. I can't believe she will be 6 months on Sunday......Crazy!! We go to the pediatrician on the 10th for her 6 month check up and I think I'm going to get 6 month portraits done before her surgery. She is really fun right now and we can't wait for what else is in store for us!!

Happy Baby!

Claire loves Cups!
Mommy, Daddy, and Claire at Rachel's Wedding
Claire's dress was too cute!

Auntie Rachel got married today, it was a beautiful wedding and she looked gorgeous as always! Claire was in attendance, and mommy was a bridesmaid, so Daddy, Grandma Crystal, Fredpa, and Uncle Billy got to spend a lot of time with Claire. Claire enjoyed her day, she danced, and talked to all kinds of new friends! I can't wait until she can dance on her own. We are very excited about next weekend for Jamie's Wedding! Hopefully Claire will have just as good as she did today! This weekend was the Lexington Blueberry Festival we didn't make it to the actual event but we did watch the fireworks and Claire LOVED them. Although she did fall asleep for the finale and she was out, didn't even flinch! We had a very exciting weekend, Sunday was Grandpa Jay's birthday! We went over to Ashland to spend some time with family and celebrate! We got to spend some time with cousin Brayden which is always a good time! We also got our approval for her surgery we are just waiting for the doctor to call me back and schedule!!! Hopefully by the end of the week we will know our day! And we are wondering when these TEETH will finally make their debut, she has really been fussy, Auntie Dani bets that it will be this weekend at the wedding! I guess we will find out...I can't believe she is almost 6 months old! It is wild, before we know it she will be a year old! Heartbreaking but exciting at the same time! She is still TALKING haha, the girl loves to talk Mitch and I are really in for it. I will post again once we have all the information for surgery.

the park!

Claire got to visit one of the parks by our house today. Daddy, Mommy, and Claire walked to the park and Claire got to swing, and go down the slide with daddy. She had a really good time, it was a little on the hot side but she was happy. Our little girl is on the move! She is pretty much crawling, her version that is, she's got the arms and one leg going and drags one leg too. She is sitting up for long periods of time 20 minutes or more. It is so cute she will sit and play with her toys, such a big girl! She's doing really good eating, she LOVES sweet potatoes! She is talking up a storm!!! We don't know what exactly she is saying but that's ok! She is still saying dada and throwing some more in there nanana and ingainga. Of course mama hasn't been one of them. No teeth yet!! We are anxiously waiting their arrival. She is still sleeping pretty good through out the night, some days better than others. And she laughs ALL the time!! and loves to scream! We are really enjoying being parents. We got some news on surgery, we were diagnostically approved for BCMH and for treatment(surgery). We should be receiving our information in the mail by Saturday, so hopefully we will have a date by next week! Dr. Seitz was hoping she wouldn't be moving but unfortunately we didn't have any control of that, and she is not stopping now. We started massage therapy to help with her neck and that is going well. We have a busy next two weeks, one of my best friends Rachel, is getting married and I am in the wedding! and the next weekend my cousin Jamie is also getting married in PA. So we will be doing some traveling for that one.We are excited to see family and friends and show off Claire!!!

5 months!

Our sweet baby girl is 5 months old! where has the time gone??? She is so much fun right now she is sitting, talking, and eating! She loves her baby food, she hasn't found something she doesn't like yet! She LOVES to talk......A LOT! She loves saying Dadadada of course and we swear she says "i love dada". She is trying to crawl and is pretty close, they said at Physical Therapy her neck was delaying that a bit. We are still working on her torticollis doing stretches and everything we can to help her. But it is still there, I will be having a PT coming to the house hopefully soon to help too. We are still waiting on BCMH to process her paper work so we can schedule her surgery. We have some more funny videos of the girl. This video is of her and Ralph (Grammie's dog) he had a toy she played with the day before and she was mad he had it.We went to her Godmother's house this week and she has a little kitten and she loved him! I am guessing Claire will like animals! She is on the move and hopefully Daddy and I can handle it! We are thinking the teeth are going to be making their debut here pretty soon. She has been a little bit crabby and not sleeping the best, which makes us suspect it will be soon. She had her first boo-boo this week, she rolled off Mommy and Daddy's bed. Which luckily is low to the ground, we no longer can leave her alone on the bed. She had a pretty good bump only cried for a minute or two and was off again trying to crawl. She's tough!! She is amazing and we can't wait for tomorrow may bring!!
