What a busy weekend~! Thursday Claire and I went to the Cleveland Clinic to meet with Dr.
Seitz, and we got some great news! Her procedure will be an outpatient procedure and only last 4 hours! She will be having bone removed from the middle of her foot to be used as thumbs on each hand, her fingers will be split that are webbed, they will sew up the middles of each foot and straighten out the big toes. The excess skin from the feet will hopefully be used as skin graphs on her fingers that are being split. And there is bone in her hand that they will move up to use as another finger for each hand!!! I'm so happy it's outpatient because the surgery will be at the facility we are used to going to in
Beachwood. It's next to a very nice mall but I doubt we will be going there the day of surgery. Her surgery will be at the end of September early October. We are waiting for the nurse to call and set up the date. We are still waiting on
BCMH and want to be sure everything is processed before the surgery. After our little adventure to
Beachwood on Thursday we headed home, then headed to Cincinnati for the night with Uncle Matt, Aunt Desi, and cousin Landon. Then on Friday we ventured off for Knoxville......and Claire was really good and we are really lucky. She cried the last 30 minutes of each trip because she was ready to get out of her car seat. She got to visit with her Grandpa
Richey and Grandma Vicki, Aunt Katie and Uncle Jason, Cousin Collin, Aunt Sara and Cousin Emily too!! Just a great weekend of visiting with everyone. We had a great 4
th of July and Claire actually liked the fireworks!! Her dad and grandpa set off a few, but there were enough going off all around their house! Claire had PT this morning she is doing really well and then we ran a few errands. We are on the go!! Claire also turns 4 months today!! I can't believe it!! She is becoming such a little lady! She is getting more interested in her food, which is good, and more interested in what Daddy and I are eating also. She has been sleeping in her crib through the night which is another great
accomplishment! I just took her to the doctor for her 4 month check up, she is 16 lbs 5 oz and 26 inches long! Although I think she weighs a bit less she had a full diaper on when they weighed her. She is in the 97
th percentile for length and 95
th percentile for weight!
geesh she made up for lost time!! Mitch and I are still trying to find out who she got her length from OBVIOUSLY not us!All in all our doctor's visit was a good one!! We don't go back until
September!
